Newport Living and Lifestyles Rocks the Vanderbilt

A velvet rope gets set aside and you instantly have access to the Rooftop Bar atop The Vanderbilt Auberge Resort Hotel. Perched high on the hill that rises above the harbor in the Historic Hill neighborhood, this one-time mansion is now a luxe accommodation with a spa, library-lounge, a solarium patio for brunch and a cozy dark bar-restaurant where craft cocktails and the occasional secret are shared.

This night, the NL&L faithful gathered for drinks and small plates on the rooftop and Newport’s most epic harbor view. As the sun set over the bridge, cool breezes brought out the sweaters and shawls, but nothing could beat the warm glow of good friends, cocktails and fireworks.
