THE NAMING CONTEST HAS A WINNER! Congratulations to both Shannon Buss and Amy Doorley. THE Marble’Ous was a meld of two great namists. Shannon Buss submitted THE Marble House which is fabulous as it incorporates both the look of the shell and Newport where the shells are hand selected. Amy Doorley offered a mixture of two words Marble and Fabulous: Marbleous; This is simply unique, elegant and fun while exhibiting the marbling in the shell patters. I very much liked both the ideas thus a perfect meld was conceived, THE Marble’Ouse! So Both Shannon Buss and Amy Doorley will have their pick from the items offered below!
Thank you to everyone who participated, all the names submitted for this collection were all very clever, fun and witty. It is clear that many thought the shells offered earthly elements with submitted names such as THE Alchemy Collection, THE Fossil, THE au naturel, THE Altamira, THE Travertine, THE Rustic, THE Bourbon, THE Whisky & Smoke, THE Feldspar, THE Planetary Collection, THE Coastal Horizon, THE Beach Comber, THE Sea Stone, THE Oceans Soul, THE Moon tide. I also really liked some of the other Newport themed names such as THE Cliff Walk Collection, THE Clandestine Collection, THE Gilded Collection, THE Wampum, THE Quahog, Glam Clams, ect…
