2022 Citizens Pell Bridge Run

Join us for the 11th running of the Citizens Pell Bridge Run! Save the date – registration will open in the late spring.
The eleventh annual Citizens Pell Bridge Run will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at 7:15 AM. Starting in Jamestown and finishing in downtown Newport, this point-to-point event is open to runners and walkers of all ages and speeds! The 4-mile road race and walk is the only day of the year pedestrians are permitted to cross the famous Newport Pell Bridge. 100% of net proceeds from this event will go to support local nonprofit organizations through the Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Foundation. Gather your friends and family for a day of fun, fitness and stunning views!
Strollers are not permitted on the bridge, and all runners and walkers — including children — must be registered for the event individually. Pets are not permitted.

Amica Newport Marathon . Half-Marathon | 2022

We are thrilled to announce that registration is now open for the 2022 Amica Newport Marathon scheduled for Sunday, October 9th.

We look forward to hosting the race while adhering to COVID-19 guidelines at the time of the event to ensure the safety of participants, volunteers, and the community.

The race will begin at 7:30 AM in Newport, Rhode Island and travels through the city, as well as neighboring, Middletown. The race will utilize a USTAF-certified course and can be used as a qualifier for the Boston Marathon and all other major marathon events.

The Amica Newport Marathon was recently voted as having the “Best Half Marathon” and “Best Race Swag” in the Northeast by Competitor Magazine.

The Amica Newport Marathon and Half Marathon are races that you can feel good about running. By participating, you’re not only doing something good for yourself, but you’re also helping others. The race’s charitable partners are the Aquidneck Land Trust, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, Boys Town New England, The YMCA Newport, and Clean Ocean Access and other local non-profits.

Ocean Road 10k

Join us at this popular oceanside flat and fast 10k in Narragansett on Sunday, October 2, 2022 for its ninth annual running. Registration opens on October 25, 2021. Be sure to sign up early to lock in the best prices and the later shuttle assignments!

We look forward to hosting the race while adhering to COVID-19 guidelines at the time of the event to ensure the safety of participants, volunteers, and the community.

A percentage of proceeds from every entry fee will benefit the Narragansett Historical Society.

This scenic, flat 10k course starts at the Pt. Judith Lighthouse, runs north on Ocean Road under the famed Narragansett Towers and finishes in the northern parking lot at Town Beach. The race was recently voted the “Best 10K” in the Northeast by Competitor Magazine.

Newport Night Run | 2022

The Newport Night Run is a Race for Education that benefits the Newport Public Education Foundation. Newport’s only after-hours Road Race!

The Newport Night Run is a Race for Education that benefits the Newport Public Education Foundation. This event is a 5k that will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 9th, 2022, and both starts and finishes at Rogers High School in Newport.

The Newport Night Run is Newport’s only after-hours Road Race! We are excited to return to the fun course starting at Rogers High School and showcasing some of Aquidneck Island’s most tranquil and smooth rural roads.

Headlamps, bright colors, and glow sticks are strongly encouraged!

All registered runners who registered for the 2021 event will be automatically enrolled into the 2022 Newport Night Run. No further action is needed on your part.

Aquidneck 10k

Join us on Sunday, March 20, 2022 for the Southcoast Health Aquidneck 10k. The event is presented by NPT HealthWorks and Fitzpatrick Team. The race will run alongside beach grass and sand dunes, around a wildlife refuge and bird sanctuary, showcasing the beauty of Aquidneck Island. Plus, a portion of every registration fee collected for the event will be donated to the Norman Bird Sanctuary!

The event is open to runners of all speeds and starts at 9:00 AM.
