Join us for an illuminating conversation with exhibiting artist Elizabeth Duffy, who will discuss her work currently on view in Social Fabric: Textiles & Contemporary Issues. Duffy’s work alludes to the apparent comforts of home, to reveal its contradictions, pathos, and bewildering humor, illuminating these contradictions through invented controllable worlds. The quilts, works on paper and installation work in this exhibition examine the intersection of domestic life and surveillance, and ask the viewer to reconsider the neutrality of messages embedded in the everyday environments we inhabit.
