Where will the 2024 10-Spot Ride take me?

That’s the question participants have asked for the past three years, right up until the moment they start this 10-stop bike ride through Newport’s incredible homes and gardens, experiencing the best of food and music all the way. On the morning of August 24 they’ll wonder: What streets and vistas, tastes and tunes will I experience?

Ever since the inaugural 10-Spot in 2020, the event’s locations have been kept mum. The pandemic-era inspiration became a popular annual tradition, drawing urban explorers, history buffs, foodies and cyclists from across New England and beyond. If the promise of culinary and sensory samples already whets your appetite, you’re in luck: Sign-ups are underway, and we expect to sell out.

Ticket-holders receive:

• An event booklet including GPS-coded maps of this unique cycling experience through Newport, helping you to plan and  navigate your route.
• Reusable commemorative cups and flatware to minimize waste at all locations.
• Access to beautiful locations, most of them private or off-limits on any other day. Past “Spots” have included iconic mansions, classic colonials, stunning sea views, secret gardens, and even a tall ship!
• Samplings of chef-selected food and drink from 10 local eateries.
• Live performances by local musicians at every location.

It’s easy: On the day of the event, you’ll check in at your assigned “Starting Spot”, pick up your event booklet and other goodies, and plan your day while enjoying your first Spot. You’ll have from 11am to 4pm to enjoy all the day offers, riding from one location to your next, in whatever order you like. Be sure to time your plan to get to all you want to see! Note that this is an alcohol-free event, to ensure safe cycling.

You can fly solo or with a group on this trip – and there are plenty of friends to make along the way. Plan with friends in advance and we’ll be sure you all have the same “Starting Spot”. We’ve done that for groups from 2 to 25!
