ThamesGiving in Newport ~ Thursdays in November

Newport rolls out the gilded carpet on Thursdays in November for holiday shopping, socializing and giving back. The City-by-the-Sea’s first-ever ThamesGiving month-long event takes center stage in downtown Newport this November 9, 16 & 30th, with lots of exciting surprises and specials in store for the entire family! Thames Street dates back to 1654 and is the heart and soul of Newport’s shopping, dining and tourism district. Newport visitors and locals alike will be invited to participate in a fun & festive Copper Pumpkin Passport scavenger hunt across all 80 ThamesGiving participants’ locations where they will be challenged to find a hidden copper pumpkin in each store and be entered to win fabulous raffle prizes (with no cost to entry!) at the end of the month. Even better, many of our ThamesGiving business owners have chosen local non-profit organizations to donate to, during this season of giving.
