A Night by the Narragansett

A  Night by the Narragansett will benefit the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center.

Guests will gather under the tent on The Point at Safe Harbor – New England Boatworks on the shores of Narragansett Bay for lawn games, cocktails, delicious fare from McGrath’s Clambakes & Catering, and dancing to high energy World Premier Band, the band that performed at last year’s Centennial Celebration.

All proceeds from the evening will support the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center’s hunger relief, education and community programs. Last year, the Center served 5,670 people, the most in its history. Founded in 1922 and renamed after Dr. King in 1922, the MLK Community Center fights hunger, promotes health, educates young and school-aged kids, supports families, and engages seniors in Newport County. The MLK builds community.

Meet my gal pal @Katherine Bowers of The GreenLove Foundation that installs refillable water stations to support the environment saving over 300,000 bottles of water from polluting our Earth! She created the foundation in loving memory of her daughter Kendra Bowers who’s mission was to enhance the environment.

Please come to their event April 27th Saturday night O’Brien’s Pub 6-9 to learn more and support their cause! www.GreenloveFoundation.org
