Newport Living and Lifestyles shines an astral light on Newport’s drinking and dining scene with it’s recent COSMIC COCKTAIL event at the CLARKE COOK HOUSE at BANNISTARS WHARF.

The 2nd Annual Cosmic soiree paired craft drinks, fine dining and personalized psychic readings from Patti McGarrahan and Hilary Grenier from The Mindz Eye. With a the limited guest list of 16, the event is always a sell out and promises to be even bigger next year so mark your calendars now.

Guests enjoyed complimentary champagne upon arrival to the 12 Metre room and mixed and mingled with hostess Christon Gibson and then enjoyed a fantastic dinner and a prize giveaway with new friends and acquaintances. Psychic readings were available for all attendees daring enough to peer into their futures come what may!

Event photography was provided by @TheCocoanCo, a fixture on the Newport scene and all the social media feeds that matter.

Historic Clarke Cook House origin

Sea-captain Clarke Cooke built the original house just across from the wharfs on Thames Street in 1780. Nearly 200 years later, as part of a plan to restore Bannister’s Wharf to its original glory as a commercial hub, David Ray purchased the building and spent six months moving it, piece-by-piece, to the wharf in 1973.

Newport is a vibrant, yet quaint, seaside resort community. Its charming character shines most brightly in the Spring & Summer months. Truly a “walking city” you can reach to the bustling waterfront, quiet colonial streets, magnificent mansions and some of the best beaches anywhere by foot, bike or trolley.
